SOPA-OSHC is licensed to care for up to 45 school-aged children per day, operating from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm weekdays during Queensland State School Holidays.

Our Vacation Care program is part of The Studio of Performing Arts (SOPA) , a community-recognised organisation known for nurturing children’s wellbeing, creativity, and sense of belonging. Vacation Care at SOPA is designed to be more than just supervision. It is a safe, enriching environment where children play, connect, rest and thrive.

A child-centred, creative environment:

Each day is intentionally planned with a strong focus on children’s interests, comfort, and emotional safety. Our program includes:

• Daily Arts Incursion and Robelle Community Excursion

• Imagination and creative play spaces

• Loose parts play, LEGO, magnetics, and problem-solving activities

• Opportunities for movement, collaboration, and self-expression

Children are supported by a consistent and caring educator team. The key educator focus at SOPA-OSHC means that children know their educators. Children settle quickly, build friendships, and feel confident within their environment.

Fees:

Vacation Care Fees start from $111.00 per day including daily 90 minute Robelle Domain excursion + daily 90 minute Circus Kids Workshop (which includes gymnastics / movement / acting & circus skills) .

Our Day:

We head off for our daily nature walk +play at Robelle Domain around 9.30am (9.00am in Summer Vacation Care) for 90 minutes. Ensure you arrive before this time, with your sun-safe hat, sun-safe shirt and closed toe shoes to allow you to make the most of your time outdoors. When we return, the service is divided into two zones of learning; an Active Play and Creative Play Zone. Two smaller groups are created and for the next three hours children learn through play. These smaller groups are age focused; Prep to Grade 3 children and Grade 4 and above. Children experience a 90 minute Circus Kids Workshop with SOPA educators which incorporates gymnastics, juggling, dance and acting AND age appropriate activities like slime making and art. During this time children are promoted to create and adapt their own play within the Creative Zone.
