SOPA-OSHC is licensed to care for up to 45 school-aged children per day, operating during Education Queensland School Terms:

• Before School Care: 6:30 am – 9:00 am

• After School Care: 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Our program is part of The Studio of Performing Arts (SOPA), a community-recognised organisation committed to children’s wellbeing, creativity, and belonging. SOPA-OSHC offers families more than care before and after school. We provide a safe, consistent, and enriching environment where children feel supported, connected, and confident.

Families can view our approved service information on the Australian Government’s Starting Blocks website: View SOPA on Starting Blocks → https://www.startingblocks.gov.au/find-child-care/the-studio-of-performing-arts

Transport and accessibility

With our own SOPA-OSHC courtesy buses, we service a wide range of schools across Greater Springfield, supporting working families with reliable and familiar transport. After School Care greeting educators meet children at their school and support them on their bus journey, ensuring a calm and well-supervised transition from school to OSHC.

Relationships first

With a dedicated Key Educator approach SOPA-OSHC supports strong, trusting relationships between children, families, and educators. Consistency and connection help children feel secure, settle quickly, and develop a strong sense of belonging within the SOPA-OSHC community.

After School Care experience

As children arrive at SOPA-OSHC, a healthy afternoon tea is provided. We then gather in Yarning Circle, creating a space for children to share their day, connect with peers, and feel heard.

Following this, children participate in our OSHC Circus Kids program, divided into age-appropriate groups:

• Prep – Year 2

• Years 3 – 6

These sessions encourage movement, creativity, confidence, and teamwork. Children finish the day happy, engaged, and content, ready for collection by families.
